Hello 👋, I’m Lucia!

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I am currently based, I was always exposed to creative art and technology. I studied International Relations at UC Davis and interned at nonprofits and government agencies, before I dove into the dynamic world of tech startups.

My tech journey began at Lyft, joining when it was a tight-knit team of under 300 in 2014. Starting as an Account Executive, I grew the user base and later shifted to Customer Experience, spearheading global support expansion. Recognizing regulatory challenges in rideshare, I was an inaugural member of Lyft's first Product Operations team.

With over 9 years in tech, I became a seasoned Product Operations leader at Lyft, Walmart E-Commerce, and Robinhood. Leading cross-functional teams, I ensured operational excellence and successful program launches. This diverse experience laid the foundation for my transition to UX Design.

Collaborating directly with UX designers and researchers, I engaged in design reviews and utilized tools like Figma. Passionate about creating beautiful and intuitive UI designs, I took the initiative in projects without dedicated design resources. I realized that working in Figma and designing for users put me in a flow state and was something I wanted to pursue professionally full-time. UX Design, blending technical skills with creativity, is where I've found my calling.

Beyond tech, my creative side shines through working with hands and pursuing hobbies like drawing, leathercraft, and crochet. One of my life’s greatest passions is traveling, and I’ve visited over 40 countries and every continent except Antarctica. I also love the outdoors and care deeply about environmental conservation. I’m a tropical girl and my favorite place is the beach. I am PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving certified and one of the best places I’ve been diving is the Great Barrier Reef.
